The Programme
The Cyprus Youth Clubs Organisation in the framework of strengthening the active citizenship of young people has undertaken the implementation of the European programme Have your Say! Engage, Connect, Empower Youth!
The programme aims to empower young people, in particular young people aged 13-30 who face fewer opportunities due to geographical constraints, by providing ways to participate in democratic life, contributing to the EU Youth Strategy and the European Youth Objectives, promoting the connection between the EU and young people, thus promoting the voice of young people through non-formal learning activities.
The objectives of Have your Say are:
- Raising awareness of EU values and volunteering, especially for young people who face fewer opportunities.
- Promoting the active participation and democratic engagement of young people aged 13-30.
- Strengthening the skills of young people living in urban and rural communities.
- Contributing to the EU’s youth objectives and to an inclusive society, where young people are connected to policy makers and workers.
- Creating an educational guide on volunteering in the EU in Cyprus and Europe.
- Create a recommendation document based on the needs of young people in participatory youth work.
