MyCOMM Kick off meeting
The project managers of our organization, Stelios Tzivas, Dimitra Papadopoulou and Marina Kritharidou on 26 & 27 April 2023 participated in the first meeting for the implementation of the European Project “MyCOMM”. Migrant and Refugee Youth Communication and advocacy for equity and inclusion.
MYComm aims to strengthen youth organisations working mainly on issues related to the integration of migrants and refugees, and to enhance their capacities to communicate and influence the policies and perceptions of society. Specifically, it is addressed to the staff of youth organisations and seeks to empower them with social networking strategies, creative communication techniques, audiovisual tools and public advocacy skills.
The project involves 8 EU organisations with expertise in youth/immigration/visual techniques and social inclusion – OBREAL Global, CARDET, GIE, APEDV, Rural Hub, JEF, VYRE.
During the meeting the main challenges and opportunities related to advocacy for young people with a migrant background, the phases and tasks of the organisations during the project, the preparation of future activities and the timeline were discussed.
